The thing about our generation is that we mistake passion for the yearning to succumb to society’s expectations. It’s not that we don’t know what to be passionate about; I mean there’s sports, dancing, photography, writing, fashion, you name it. It’s the reason behind why we do what we do. To be passionate about something is to do it for the nature of the act itself, not for what we achieve in terms of some sort of ranking that society binds us to. This is our generation’s main problem. We’re so caught up in what would make ourselves look appealing to others. Shit, the thing we don’t realize is that in a few years, none of it matters, no one’s going to care. In the end, only we can judge ourselves.
